It was an especially successful tournament for the Pickle Flames. Several club members secured medals and demonstrated the strong progress they have made over the past months. Stefan Stangl won the gold medal in Men’s Doubles 3.5 alongside Alex Rieck. There was also reason to celebrate in the Beginner Doubles division, where Gerhard Feimer and Peter Lakits confidently claimed the gold medal for the Pickle Flames.
The Sportunion Rackathletes Austria also enjoyed a highly successful day. Markus Tscheik and Martin Kova won the Men’s Doubles 4.0 division. For Tscheik, it was the first tournament victory of his pickleball career. Several medalists from the recent 4th Austrian Pickleball Championships continued their strong form. Bernd Martin and Maureen Tan from the UN Pickleball Club captured the Mixed Doubles 3.5 title. Rackathletes Andrea Hübsch and Helmut Hübsch also delivered a strong performance to finish third, while Bianca Mader earned her first medal in this category with a second-place finish alongside Alex Rieck.
Beyond the sporting achievements, a special family story also attracted attention. In the Beginner division, Oanh Sai, Anh Thu Nguyen, and Suta Nguyen all competed, making it a true family affair. Oanh Sai and Ninh Pham celebrated a bronze medal finish together.
